National Association of Record Merchandisers (NARM) Convention
Century Plaza Hotel
Los Angeles, California
March 1, 1971
The National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) gathered in late February and March, 1971 for their 13th annual convention.

NARM, a trade association serving the music and entertainment community, presented Columbia Records' president Clive Davis—who, in turn, presented several Columbia acts at the convention including the Percy Faith Orchestra, Lynn Anderson and Ray Stevens.

Barbra Streisand headlined the Columbia presention on Monday, March 1st. She was backed by the Percy Faith Orchestra.
[Barbra Archives assumes that Streisand sang just a few songs; and—most likely—songs from her “pop” Stoney End album, which Clive Davis convinced her to make. If anyone out there has info on what Streisand performed at the NARM convention, please feel free to email me at matt [at] barbra-archives.com]
